• Despite there only being a cast of four, Alrewas Dramatic Society put on an excellent production last weekend with two one act plays about an am-dram society in trouble. There was some great comic acting, as always, from Tony Jones, Siobhan Griffin and Brian Trappett with newcomer Susan Barker a great addition and some very funny interludes between scenes from Michelle Trappett. It was a great shame it wasn’t better supported, and as such the theme was quite poignant. Please think about going along to their next production which is ‘Camelot The Panto’ 23rd – 25th January 2020 as good audiences are desperately needed to cover the costs of staging any production and keep this wonderful asset to our village. The Society would also welcome new members, whether just for one show or more, both on and off stage. Call June on 01283 790324 or email if you are interested. The read through for Camelot is 3rd September.
