• Nationally acclaimed Storyteller and Alrewas resident Maria Whatton will be in The Bank Coffeehouse on Sunday 9th December from 1.30pm reading from her recently published book “Hometown Tales Birmingham’ which she has co-authored with comedian and writer Stewart Lee.  ‘Silver in the Quarter’ is a superb coming of age tale set in 1970’s Birmingham and will be particularly poignant to anyone who has grown up there. You can chat to Maria about the book and enjoy coffee and cake or mulled wine and mince pies. There will be a few copies available to buy or you could read beforehand and bring along for Maria to sign.
