The Parish Council continues to receive complaints about dog fouling in the village, especially on Walkfield. We are very grateful to the many responsible dog owners who do clear up after their dogs. THANK YOU on behalf of the Parish Council and other residents.

However, to those dog owners who do not pooper scoop, please do think about others and clear up the mess made by your pet. It is a legal requirement on dog owners and failure to do so can result in a fine of up to £1000. More concerning is that dog waste can be dangerous to health, especially to children, and is unpleasant and messy to walk in. As the school holidays approach more children will be playing on Walkfield and around the village, including along the canal. PLEASE think of others and clean up after your dog and either put the bagged up waste in a bin or take it home.
