• Alrewas Cricket Club urgently need new coaches, particular for their growing beginners and early years groups. ECB’s new Foundation One is the ideal training course and will give you all the tools you need. Staffordshire Cricket will be putting on courses early in the New Year so if you’re interested please contact Tim Aston on 07866 730887 or timaston@needwoodcottage.go-plus.net as soon as possible. The Club will pay for all your course fees.  If you don’t fancy coaching they would appreciate your help in other ways. Volunteers are always welcome to help with the Kwik Cricket on Monday evenings, making cricket teas on a Saturday afternoon or helping with ground work any Saturday morning from 10.30am.

• The consultation on Lichfield District Council’s Draft Local Plan 2020-2036 continues and there is an open event in Alrewas Village Hall this Friday 10th January from 4pm to 6pm where you can view and comment on the development of your district over the next fifteen years.

• The next Live and Local event is ‘The Beginnings of Fairport Convention’ in Alrewas Village Hall on Sunday 9th February. Along the way it paints a vivid picture of the late sixty’s music scene, with The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix included in the story! It promises to be informative, funny and full of great songs.
