Village News 19th December 2019

• At the Parish Council meeting the Development Working Group reported that a meeting has been held with the Local Lead Flood Authority and detailed questions raised with them relating to the approved revisions to Flood Risk Assess and Drainage Strategy for the Green Acres Development. In particular there was concern that the revised scheme could result in unprotected flood risk to properties within the village from surface water run-off from the site. It is hoped that the LLFA will review the advice it previously gave to LDC.

Chairman Dave Whatton explained the reasoning behind the Parish Council’s decision to adopt a ‘dogs on leads’ policy but stated that, following advice from Lichfield District Council, this will not now be initiated. He did however urge dog owners keep an eye out for irresponsible dog owners and report them if they see fit. The erection of a fence around the play area will be addressed in the January meeting.

The Parish Council Strategic Plan had been created to help the Council prioritise activities, set budgets and provide a clear vision for future developments informed by the approved Neighbourhood Plan. It is available here
